2008 Totals

2008 had me -

- running 1722 miles
- racing 22 times
- cycling 4280 miles
- going to the gym 85 times; and
- hillwalking 13 times

Total time approx. 630 hours, averaging about 12 hours per week.

Highlights included -

Lomond Hillrunners pub run on the canal from Linlithgow to Edinburgh
another great Celtic Connections festival
a great weekend hillwalking on Mull in April
joining the Fifers for the 3 Peaks Fell Race in Yorkshire
Stuc a Chroin Hill Race on Sat 3 May and a 100 mile cycle the next day in Ayrshire
Muffy Calder's 50th weekend on the West Highland Way
cycling up the Bealach Na Ba for the 1st time
walking in Torridon for Isobel's last Munro
a hot Duddon Hill Race on 31 May and 80 mile near-hypothermic cycle the next day
doing a midweek 200k Audax with Moira in the Borders
supporting Gordon in his great West Highland Way debut
moving house!!
winning the Westies Dumgoyne Handicap Race
cycling 1000 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End in 11 days
bagging 9 Munros during the Glenshee 9 Hill Race
the Westies Extravaganza on the Rob Roy Way
6hrs, 90 miles and 2000 metres climbing in the Bealach Mor Sportif
celebrating 25 years of running with the Two Breweries Hill Race and a party
another great Westies weekend at Loch Ossian
celebrating the the late great Simon Triger's life by walking up Carn Mor Dearg
a week chilling out in Arisaig with Moira
lovely winter walking in Langdale and Skiddaw with the Glenmorons
a fantastic Westies Moonlit Run in the Kilpatricks
and numerous cycles and runs with friends on the gorgeous Scottish countryside
