SAT 24 JAN 2009
Steffen and I had the honour of leading the "A" Team off on leg 1 from Falkland over East Lomond, through the limekilns to the changeover at Halls Reservoir. It was eyeballs out stuff the whole way, and we were very evenly matched, pushing each other all the way, even outsprinting our rival Ochils and Fife teams on the line. Great to be racing once again after a few niggles recently. We continued on for 2 hours to head over Bishop Hill, West Lomond and down through the forest back to Falkland. A great day out.

Glen Clova Weekend
17 - 18 JANUARY 2009
A weekend at the Glen Clova Hotel bunkhouse with the Lomond Hillrunners. We enjoyed a wintry wander up Broad Cairn from Braedownie via Bachnagairn. It was very windy and cold on the summit, so we just came back the way we had gone up. On Sun we plodded up Loch Brandy behind the Hotel.

Lomond Hillrunners Pub Run
SATURDAY 3 JAN 2009
The annual pub run of Lomond Hillrunners was on the Fife Coastal Path this year, and I was once again honoured with a guest invite. We started off at Dalmeny, crossed over the Forth Road Bridge, headed along the coastal path from North Queensferry and had our first pub stop in Inverkeithing. We then headed round past Dalgety Bay to Aberdour for the next pint and some lunch. We then were off to Burntisland for a pint, followed by Kinghorn. We reached Kirkcaldy just after dark and had a pint there before enjoying a Nepalese curry, washed down by Gurkha beer. A great day out.
