1st race of the Scottish Championship 2008 series, and one of the shortest races you are ever likely to do.180 of us lined up in a wee sleepy hollow near Scotlandwell before launching ourselves up 1000 feet of steep Fife hillside. David Riach hared off in pursuit of Jethro Lennox, closely followed by Nigel, Manny and not quite so closely by Don Reid, Murdo, Dave Rogers,JD, Brian B, Donald. Christine led off the quality Westies Women field of herself, Jane and Brenda. After a crazy fun descent we finished in more or less that order. A lovely wee race well organised by Lomond Hillrunners. I was pretty pleased with my run - 23m 35s and 63/178 runners, especially after having ran 20 miles the day before.
